Who knew that all those people who said "it'll happen when you least expect it" were right?

A year ago, there was no way ANYONE would have been able to convince either of us that some witty banter on a dating app at 10pm on Sunday would lead to "forever." Just a few days later, we had arranged our first date, a fun low-key place called "Brick" that was known for tapas. (Both of us, being painfully familiar with the Miami dating scene, thought it was prudent to commit to nothing more than a quick meeting over a few appetizers!)

Upon meeting, we were both pleasantly surprised... so much so... we walked into the wrong restaurant. Neither of us realized it, however, until months later when we were recounting what we ate and drank that first night. We looked up the restaurant and realized that the entire menu was different! We opened the website and both said "it didn't look like this inside." After a little bit of investigation, we realized, we walked into the wrong place.

We took the photo above 1 year and 1 week after our first date, in front of that restaurant we stumbled into, the one named "Life Itself."
